1. What is the admission procedure at JGS?

Step 1: Enquiry 

Step 2: Verification of  age and basic information

Step 3: Diagnostic test ( Class 1 onwards)

2. Is JGS affiliated to CBSE?

Yes, Vide affiliation no 830408

3. What is the age limit for admission?

Class Pre kg : 2.10 years (completed as on 30th May)

Class 1 : 5.10 years

4. What is the duration of Diagnostic test

1 hour of 4 subjects (English/Hindi/Kannada and Mathematics) of 25marks each

The result will be announced on the following working day.

5. What are the documents required for admission?
  • Birth certificate
  • Aadhaar card ( Copy)
  • Caste and income certificate
  • Previous school marks card
  • Transfer Certificate from previous school
  • STS number
  • Student photo
  • Parents photo
6. What is the Curriculum followed at JGS?

The examination and course of study followed up to class VIII are those prepared by the NCERT. From class IX onwards the scheme of studies prescribed for the 10 +2 pattern by the CBSE will be followed. 

Preprimary:  students in these classes are trained through a school readiness programme. They are taught through a combination of Montessori and Kindergarten methods.

Assessments, Tests and Exams are conducted regularly as per the regulations of the CBSE board.

9. How many students are there in each class?

Each class would have an average of 30 – 35 students 

However admissions are subject to availability of seats in each class.

10. Is the school Co-ed?

Yes, JGS is a Co-ed school

11. What are the timings of the school?

Pre primary: 9.00am to 1.00pm (Monday to Friday)

Every Saturday will be a holiday for Pre primary students 

Class I to X: 9.00am to 3.30pm (Monday to Saturday)

2nd and 4th Saturday will be a holiday 

12. Is transport facility available at JGS?

Yes, school transport is available on additional payment apart from the tuition fee, The school transport fee will be based on the student’s domicile and distance.

13. What is the academic calendar

June to March

15. Sports activities at JGS
  • Well planned sports curriculum by Edu Sports, Sportz village Pvt limited
  • A variety of indoor and outdoor games are conducted
16. Co-Curricular and Co– scholastic activities conducted at JGS

A variety of CCA activities are conducted throughout the year, based on work experience, art education, physical and emotional health

  • Attitude towards teacher, students , peers, school property and environment
17. Books and Uniform
The details of textbooks, notebooks and pattern of uniform will be intimated to the parents on the confirmation of the admission.
18. How should the note books and text books covered?

Note books and text books must be covered with plain brown sheet, details like student name, Roll no, Subject, Class and Section to be mentioned clearly. 

19. When does my child wear school uniform and sports uniform?

Class I to X

School Uniform: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Sports Uniform: Wednesday and Saturday 

Preprimary

School uniform :  Monday to Thursday

Coloured clothes  : Every Friday

20. Uniform rules
  1. Students must come in neat and complete uniform ( with belt and ID card)
  2. Uniforms must be washed and ironed everyday
  3. Shoes must be polished every day
  4. Nails and hair must be cut regularly
  5. No fancy hair cut is allowed.
  6.  School bag must be washed regularly.
